Tae Kwon Do

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean martial art that means "THE WAY OF THE HANDS AND FEET", or the literal translation, “a method of defending yourself using the hands and feet”. It was brought to the U.S. in 1956 by Jhoon Rhee, the father of Tae Kwon Do in America. Tae Kwon Do is an exciting and powerful martial art knows for its dynamic kicking and hand techniques. Although these martial art techniques are centuries old, our programs are always evolving to keep pace with a rapidly changing world.
We teach the more traditional style of Tae Kwon Do with emphasis the practical aspects of martial arts. With strong emphasis on forms (kata), self defense, and Olympic style kumite (sparring). This is a well-rounded approach to martial arts, and most people will progress from white to black belt in 3 to 4 years.
Our program also teaches self-confidence, self-esteem, focus, respect and indomitable spirit. It is a great style for kids and adults alike and helps build strong and healthy family relationships.
Class times are varied and feature separate or mixed adults and children plus a special "family" class.
Tae Kwon Do is your style if you’re looking for:
