Pre-Tumbling Ages 2 to 4: Focuses on activities which prepare your child for tumbling. From bear crawls to donkey kicks, the children “play games” which are actually building their muscles and teaching them the basics of tumbling. We focus on teaching proper technique on front rolls, bridges, and rebounds. Children learn to follow directions in class while learning new skills. Instructional time is broken up with short periods of free play to fit the attention span of this age group. Meets once per week for 50 minutes.
Beginning Tumbling Ages 4 and up: For students who are just starting out with tumbling, this class starts with the basics. Children will learn proper stretches, technique, and form. This class takes beginners from front rolls to cartwheels and round-offs.
Intermediate Tumbling Once students have mastered the basics, they are ready to progress to intermediate tumbling classes. This class will continue to strengthen the muscles while learning more advanced tumbling skills such as front and back walkovers, and progressing to back handsprings.
Power Tumbling Once the student has progressed through the intermediate tumbling class and mastered the back handspring, they are ready for power tumbling. This class focuses more intense training on the strength and skill needed for standing back handsprings, back tucks, and other advanced tumbling. |
